Project Overview
Darren Bryson was the Design Project Manager for the new 8-storey Diagnostic and Treatment Building at the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Vernon, BC. This project was combined in the same procurement as the Kelowna Ambulatory Care Centre. Taken together, this project was the largest bundled healthcare P3 project in BC at the time.
The building features a 60 metre (186’) long, 2-storey, laminated timber and glass canopy system as the entry feature of the building, which is visible to the public, visitors and the surrounding neighbourhood. It also includes a roof garden design developed for the Hospital Foundation for the Level 4 Maternity and Child program.
