Project Overview
St. John’s School has undergone a campus transformation through a series of capital projects. Phase 1 included the construction of a new senior school, which was opened in 2008. Phase 2 involved a 30,000 sq. ft. expansion to the middle and senior school program including new classrooms for music, drama, and arts, new science labs, and new learning commons. It further involved the construction of a new common atrium area that provides multi-purpose functions and an additional breakout area.
The design focuses on incorporating 21st century learning concepts, including ‘movement furniture’, transparency, high quality learning environment (lighting, HVAC, acoustic treatment), and state-of-the art IT infrastructure.
