Project Overview
This project entails the construction of a six-story, wood-frame apartment building consisting of 74 residential units. The development offers a variety of housing options, including independent studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments. Designed to foster a sense of community and provide stable, long-term housing for residents living with mental illness, the building integrates a range of internal and external amenities.
The amenities include a welcoming lobby, versatile meeting spaces, a gym, a common area with patio access, and a laundry room, ensuring both functionality and comfort for its residents. The land is owned by the Provincial Rental Housing Corporation (BC Housing), and the project is made possible through funding from the Supportive Housing Fund (SHF). A non-profit organization will operate the building upon its completion, contributing to the overall goal of providing supportive, affordable housing.
