Project Overview
The goal of this project was to undertake a comprehensive commercial renovation, including a change of use, transforming a former language education school into a state-of-the-art Vancouver Coastal Health Urgent Primary Care Center (UPCC). This new facility replaced the previous City Centre UPCC on Hornby Street.
The renovation included extensive upgrades to the building's structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Additionally, the project ensured full compliance with the building's strata health and safety regulations.
The newly designed UPCC boasts a wide range of modern healthcare facilities, including 13 exam rooms, a medical imaging department with X-ray and Ultrasound diagnostic capabilities, multiple triage and treatment rooms and several administrative spaces for staff operations. Notably, this UPCC is the first to feature a Probe Processing Room within its medical imaging department, a significant upgrade over the previous City Centre location.
This new center provides enhanced healthcare services, offering a more advanced and efficient space for both patients and healthcare professionals.
