Project Overview

The UFV Dining Hall Expansion enhances the university’s food service capacity to support a growing campus population, driven in part by the concurrent delivery of new on-campus student housing. The project expanded and modernized the existing dining facility, adding seating capacity, upgrading commercial kitchen infrastructure, and flexible spaces designed to support student engagement and daily campus life.

Delivered within a fully operational facility, the project required careful phasing and coordination to minimize disruption to students, staff, and campus operations. Sustainability was a key driver, with the incorporation of energy-efficient systems and sustainable materials, including mass timber, aligning with UFV’s environmental stewardship goals. Through close collaboration and proactive planning, the team successfully navigated tight timelines, site constraints, and supply chain challenges to deliver a welcoming, modern dining environment that enhances the overall student experience.
