Project Overview
Located in South Surrey, this facility was developed to provide timely, team-based care for patients requiring same-day, non-emergency treatment. The centre improves access to urgent health services for residents without a family doctor and helps reduce strain on hospital emergency departments. Staffed by a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurse practitioners, and nurses, the UPCC offers extended hours, walk-in urgent care, and appointment-based primary care. Services include treatment for minor injuries, illnesses, chronic disease management, and mental health support. The centre is part of B.C.’s broader strategy to enhance community-based healthcare and provide more equitable access across the province.
Primary Services
MAKE conducted a comprehensive Design Audit for the Port Coquitlam Primary Care Clinic, providing an independent review of the project's design documentation. This process focused on identifying risks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement before the project advanced to the Building Permit submission or tender phase. Our audit involved a thorough review of the architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and code compliance components, ensuring that the design aligned with Owner Project Requirements while adhering to Municipal and industry standards.
