Project Overview

To address an urgent capacity crisis in hemodialysis services, Fraser Health Authority is developing a new, standalone 21-station In-Centre Hemodialysis (HD) Unit on the Surrey Memorial Hospital campus. The region’s existing HD capacity reached 98–100% in 2024, prompting this strategic infrastructure investment to expand services for Fraser South and Fraser North communities.

 

Primary Services

MAKE is providing comprehensive project management services, overseeing planning, procurement, design, construction, commissioning, and operational readiness. The two-storey facility will be constructed to post-disaster standards, targeting LEED Gold certification and full compliance with CSA Z8000 and Fraser Health technical design standards.
