Project Overview

Located in Port Moody, the Coquitlam UPCC was developed to improve access to same-day, non-emergency healthcare for residents across the Tri-Cities region. The permanent facility, which replaced a temporary site at Eagle Ridge Hospital, features multiple exam rooms and team-based clinical spaces to support integrated care. Designed to reduce pressure on local emergency departments, the centre offers extended hours and a range of services including urgent care, mental health support, and chronic disease management. The project reflects the Province’s ongoing investment in accessible, community-based healthcare infrastructure.

Primary Services

MAKE conducted a comprehensive Design Audit for the Port Coquitlam Primary Care Clinic, providing an independent review of the project's design documentation. This process focused on identifying risks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement before the project advanced to the Building Permit submission or tender phase. MAKE’s audit involved a thorough review of the architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and code compliance components, ensuring that the design aligned with Owner Project Requirements while adhering to Municipal and industry standards.
