Project Overview
Representing the Township of Langley in the initial stages of the project for this unique facility, the team worked with architects to develop conceptual ideas, wrote the RFP for the Design-Build procurement, and collaborated with Proponents to develop budgets and plans for the facility before awarding the project to Graham Construction. The facility includes a canopy-covered outdoor pool area with a shallow leisure end, six competitive swim lanes, and a deep end for diving. The pool is open year-round and heated in the wintertime, using excess energy produced from cooling the ice at the adjacent arena. The Centre’s arena includes a fitness centre, indoor walking surface, and multipurpose rooms. The complex features a vast outdoor water park with waterslides, tidal pool, current channel, a children’s aqua structure, and playground.
