Canada's First Higher Education Passive House Project

Project Overview

The UNBC Wood Lab in Prince George was designed to meet Passive House standards, which included stringent energy efficiency requirements. This project was the first passive house project completed by a higher education organization in Canada. Certified Passive House buildings use up to 90% less energy for heating and cooling when compared with standard buildings and use up to 70 percent less energy overall.
